NMNWSE Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) Conferences

In spring 2010 NMNWSE will hold 4 EYH conferences featuring small hands-on technical careers workshops designed to encourage young women to consider technical careers. We anticipate roughly 1000 New Mexico teens will attend and receive a copy of the NMNWSE Careers CD with our Careers Book and other career information, and participate in the workshops where they can get a taste of what it is like to work in various technical fields and meet women role models from those fields. There are also programs for educators and parents who accompany the students to EYH. Please encourage teens in your area to attend, and also please consider volunteering to help or sponsor - see the webpages below for conference contacts plus registration information etc, or email the NMNWSE Board if you'd like to help, sponsor, or have questions.

If you are interested in helping with or attending future NMNWSE EYH conferences, information on the current year conferences should be posted at https://archive.nmnwse.org/eyh by mid-January annually. NMNWSE EYH conferences are typically held in Albuquerque, Los Alamos, Santa Fe, and Silver City each spring.
NMNWSE EYH conferences are licensed from the EYH Network. 2010 statewide sponsors include the McCune Charitable Foundation and the NM Public Education Department via a Carl Perkins TechPrep Grant with Santa Fe Community College.
