EYH Conferences offer young women in middle and high school an opportunity to explore their career options through small hands-on technical career workshops led by female professionals from their local community. The conferences also include a component for accompanying adults. All attendees receive a 'Careers CD' featuring the NMNWSE publication Careers: Exploring the Possibilities.
There is one remaining NMNWSE EYH conference to be held in 2013 in
Las Cruces (Apr 13, NMSU).
The Albuquerque (Jan 26, UNM), Santa Fe (Mar 2, SF Conv Ctr), and Silver City (Mar 16, WNMU) EYH
are over for 2013 but will be held on a similar dates in 2014.
There was not a seperate Los Alamos EYH this year, as it was held jointly with the Santa Fe EYH.
If you would be interested in helping with these conferences, volunteers to help organize, to present workshops, to help on the day of the conference, and to help with advertizing as well as financial support are always welcome. We also need a volunteer to serve as NMNWSE state EYH Chair - contact the NMNWSE Board if this might interest you.
