The 2008 NMNWSE Annual Meeting and Technical Symposium will take place at the Sierra Grande Lodge and Spa in Truth or Consequences, NM. This region of New Mexico, with its unique and restorative hot springs, has long been considered a sacred place of healing. Sierra Grande offers a sanctuary for rejuvenation, fine southwestern accommodations, a wide array of massage and spa treatments, and soothing mineral baths.

Rooms at the Sierra Grande Lodge and Spa range from $129 per night for the Standard Queen or Two Twins to $279 per night for the 2 Room Suite (Bedroom and Sitting Room) - click here for more details. Note that NMNWSE Sierra Grande Lodge guests will have unlimited use of the mineral baths during the meeting, and a continental breakfast is included with the rooms.

Hotel reservations should be made directly with the hotel. Be sure to specify you are attending the NMNWSE annual meeting and mention the Accomodations Chair's name to receive a discount meeting rate for the rooms. As our block reservation has taken all rooms, if they indicate they are full, be sure to ask if there are still rooms within the block reservation - they may need to check with their manager for an OK to release one of the rooms in our block reservation and call you back. If you have problems, contact the Accomodations Chair.

If the Sierra Grande Lodge and Spa is full, or you want more economical choices, we suggest trying:

• The Pelican Spa, 306 S. Pershing Street, T or C, 575-894-0055, is about 3 blocks from the Sierra Grande Lodge and Spa, and has room rates from $55 per night to $95 per night - be sure to specify you are attending the NMNWSE annual meeting to receive a discount meeting rate (10% reduction if reserved by Sep 23). Pets are allowed for an additional $10 per night in the Pelican Apartment Motel. Rooms do not include breakfast, but there is a breakfast place conveniently next door.
