Our Annual Meeting and Technical Symposium, held each fall, provides an opportunity to present technical papers in a supportive environment. It also provides professional development and networking opportunities.

Meeting Details:
The 2016 meeting will be held at the Nativo Lodge in Albuquerque, NM.
Albuquerque is centrally located in New Mexico and the largest city in the state. Albuquerque is home to many businesses, the University of New Mexico, a national lab, and several cultural attractions. Nativo Lodge is inspired by vibrant Native American culture and traditions, celebrating history through Native American influences including art, design, architecture and events.
The meeting begins with a Friday evening reception. On Saturday morning, the annual business meeting of the Network, including election of the 2016-17 Board, takes place - all members are encouraged to attend. Lunch will include the 2016 NMNWSE IMPACT! Award presentation, plus be a joint meal with AAUW-NM members. A Keynote speaker will follow lunch, in another joint session with AAUW-NM. The afternoon features member technical talks, followed by a poster session and reception - an excellent opportunity to network and for students to present their work in a supportive environment! Members are invited to stay though Sunday for the first meeting of the 2016-17 State Board.

Payment: After completing the online form, send in your registration payment. Instructions are also on the registration form. There are 3 ways to pay your registration fees:
- Check: Mail check to NMNWSE, PO Box 51926, Albuquerque, NM 87181
- Personal PayPal Account: Click "Buy Now" button below, or follow these instructions. Log in to your PayPal account. Click "Send Money to a Friend" at the top of the page. Type the email address (nmnwse@gmail.com) or mobile number (575-639-1022) to whom you are sending money, and the amount that you want to submit. Click "Next". Review and confirm the information on the screen and click "Send".
- Invoice: If you check this box on the registration form, we will email you an invoice within 72 hours to pay with credit card (via PayPal but with no PayPal account required).
Cancellation Policy/ Late Fees:
Cancellation by Oct 8 will receive 90% reimbursement of registration fees, cancellation after this date will receive 50% reimbursement (reimbursements exclude annual dues).
Registrations after Oct 8 will be charged a $10 late fee.
Call for Papers:
Technical presentations on any topic in science and engineering (broadly defined to include most other fields), as well as presentations on other topics which may be of interest to women working in these fields, are welcome.
Posters have no fixed size limits.
Talks are 30 minutes, including questions.
Talk abstracts are due Oct 7. After Oct 7 only poster presentations are accepted
Poster abstracts due Oct 7 (post-deadline posters accepted on a space-available basis.
To submit a presentation, simply include the draft title and abstract with your meeting registration.
Note students, teachers, and non-employed members giving posters are eligible to apply for a meeting scholarship to cover registration. For those with exceptional circumstances, full scholarships to cover all costs can be requested. Register by Sept 30.
Conference Hotel Information:
Reservations should be made on your own. Use group code "NMNWSE 2016" when making your reservation online or by phone. The special room rate is $71 plus tax/fees and includes breakfast. Book by Oct 7 for our room rate.

Hotel reservations are on your own. We encourage you to make your hotel reservations soon, as space at the conference hotel is limited.

Students, teachers, and non-employed members presenting posters can apply for a meeting scholarship to cover meeting registration fees -
to apply just check the appropriate box on the registration form and provide a brief justification (eg, 'student presenting paper').
The scholarship covers the conference registration, receptions, and conference dinner. In exceptional circumstances, we may be able to provide full scholarships to cover lodging, all meals, and some transportation - please indicate in the justification if you feel your circumstances justify a full scholarship or other special consideration.
