Elizabeth Kallman
Dr. Elizabeth M. Kallman is the Principal Investigator and Program Manager for a Research and Development project for 2010 entitled "Parallel Multi-Physics Modeling: Bridging the Gap Between Multiple Length and Time Scales" at Ball Aerospace in Albuquerque NM. She is currently serving as Chair for AIAA-Albuquerque, is a SIAM-CSE Wiki Editor, is active in SWE, and is a proud member of the ACM. Beginning in Spring 2010, she will be an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Department at New Mexico State University.
Elizabeth was NMNWSE President in 2008.

Claudia Barreto

I was a curator of paleontology at the Milwaukee Public Museum. I left my job to earn a Ph.D. in cell biology. I became a professor at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where I was the Science Education Specialist. I was very active in the UW System Women & Science Program (= Board Member 1997-2005, Co-Chair for 2 years and presented numerous presentations & workshops at our meetings). I was also the UWM Representative to the Committee on Institution Cooperation Women in Science & Engineering consortium (CIC WISE). I became a professor at UNM Valencia Campus so I could devote more of my efforts to enhancing teaching and learning. NMNWSE Board member 2006.
Claudia is the current NMNWSE Secretary whose term ends this October.

Charlene Jacka
Charlene Jacka is a Spacecraft Systems Engineer working for ATA
Aerospace supporting the AFRL Space Vehicle Directorate. I am
currently pursuing my Masters of Science in Space Science. I enjoy
volunteering and I am active in Girl Scouts of America and serves as
Region VII Membership Chair for Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed service
fraternity. In my spare time she enjoys being outside or making
pottery. I hope to improve NMNWSE by offering more volunteer and
outreach opportunities.
Charlene was NMNWSE president in 2007.
Jennifer Nisengard
Jennifer is an Environmental Project Manager for the Risk Reduction Office in the
Environmental Protection Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).
Current and recent projects include LANL’s 2008 Site-wide Environmental
Impact Statement and Mitigation Action Plan (a National Environmental Policy
Act document), the Land Conveyance and Transfer Project, the Energy
Management Council, the Environmental Management System, and the Trails
Working Group. She is a subject matter expert for LANL’s institutional Energy
and Fuels Conservation goal and the Energy Management Council.
Jennifer is currently an At-Large board member whose term ends this October.
Barbara Torres
Ms. Barbara Torres is owner and CEO of Barbara Torres Consulting, a small, woman-owned business providing professional technical consulting services in the areas of business development, ethics programs, and other regulatory areas. Ms. Torres established her company upon retirement from Northrop Grumman Corporation. Ms. Torres also has many years of active participation in such organizations as United Way, NMNWSE, and American Business Women’s Assocation, and serving as a judge in many Science and Engineering Fairs.
Barbara was NMNWSE president in 2005.
BACKGROUND ON MOTION TO CHANGE NAME
This motion was brought before the membership by the Board for the purpose of aligning our legal name for tax purposes (defined by our Articles of Incorporation, filed in 1979, never revised) with our name as specified in our Bylaws (revised 1999).
